One of the  best to photograph your baby before it is 3 months hold because he/she will not be so ‘squirmy’. You know what I mean!  Right at 3 months is the best as their eyes are able to focus and they smile sooo sweetly.  I like to photograph all those precious baby parts as their little feet, little hand, little ear and so on.  Makes for a great montage as shown here.

I love photographing seniors.  They are young, fresh, beautiful skins, no wrinkles.  Oooops, but sometimes you must pay special attention to such matters as weight, shyness, outfits, and parental influence. Let’s talk about parental influence.  Often the parents hover around the senior and they just can’t be themselves.  Add to that, that the senior does not really know me.  What do I do?  Firstly, I tell the parents that I”ll be shooting privately with the senior.  Now I have to get the subject to relax and I do that by some good old fashion questions about them and getting them to laugh.  It is important that they realize I know something about posing.  Not all of us are perfect so skillful posing is necessary to reduce the look of weight.  Often the subject is shy and doesn’t know what posture will look best.  It’s important to show them the position that you want.  And its most important to analyze their body type and without their knowledge put them in the most flattering positions.  Look at the seniors on the blog.  I have tried to show flattering stances for these most beautiful young ladies.

The secret of photographing small children is to get down low.  Your camera lens should be pointing to about their stomach area and shoot upward.

This darling little girl chased the bird all over Lido Key.  These photos have not been retouched in photoshop.

However when we are finished with them the sky will be blue as the water and no doubt the family will want a large wall collage of their beloved little girl.

We first started at The Hilton Hotel on Longboat Key where they later had a beautiful, relaxed wedding.  Flemings’s Steak House is not normally thought of for a Rehearsal Dinner but they have a gorgeous mahogany panelled private room just the right size for Jenni’s party.
